The Smart Grid is the single largest modernization in the history our country’s aging and overburdened electric grid. It will use state-of-the-art technology to make your electric service more reliable and resilient, allowing for fewer power outages and quicker means to locate and resolve service disruptions.

So what does the Smart Grid
mean for me?
Simple. The Smart Grid is the best way for you to save electricity, save money and save our environment. That is why the U.S. Department of Energy approved $3.4 billion last year for 100 different Smart Grid projects. Leesburg has received more than $12 million for its planned upgrades.
