Job Description:
Perform troubleshooting and installation of software and hardware on network systems. Perform a variety of complicated tasks while relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Primary responsibility will be to support the City of Leesburg network infrastructure. Coordinate communications with vendors for integration of solutions for the best possible use. Answer on-call network issues and backup on-call for computer support for software and hardware problems. Perform specialized technical work in providing technical support and consultation. Work involves installing and customizing operating systems, administering network firewalls, assist in maintaining the SAN infrastructure correcting problems with network software and hardware, and assisting other City personnel with problem determination. ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $44,574.40 - $65,436.80
Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Electronics, or related field with 4 years of experience, preferably in a governmental setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures are essential. In depth knowledge of Windows 7 and MS Office applications is required. Experience working with Windows 2003/2008 Server, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and iSCSI/FC SAN's and other operating systems essential. In depth understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet standards, fiber optics, routers, hubs, switches, cellular data and wireless is essential. Knowledge of databases, client/server systems, email systems, HP Systems Management and IIS is also a plus. Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment.
