Job Description:
The purpose of the class is to service new or existing customer accounts. The class is responsible for providing utility account information, processing utility service requests, issuing work orders, reading and recording meter information, and maintaining files and records. The class works within a general outline of work to be performed; develops work methods and sequences under general supervision.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Requires a valid State of Florida driver license. Requires two years of general office and customer service experience. Knowledge of Windows based software programs, data entry, and operation of 10-key calculator, telephone etiquette and ability to handle difficult situations with assisting utility customers, problem solving and multitasking. Basic mathematical and reasoning skills required. This is a temporary two year assignment through 3/5/14 with no benefits for first 12 months of employment.
