Job Description:
The purpose of the class is to receive, store, and issue materials. The class is responsible for processing and warehousing incoming materials, maintaining inventories, issuing materials, maintaining security, maintaining the warehouse, and keeping records. The class works according to established procedures and at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor or Purchasing Manager; decides how and when to do things under general supervision. This class is required to use a computer in maintaining material information in the computerized inventory management system.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. This position requires one year or more of experience in a warehouse operation. Requires experience with computers and computerized inventory and/or purchasing systems in a work environment. Experience with personal computer software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is desired.
Requires a valid State of Florida driver license and a satisfactory driving record as a condition of initial and continued employment. Ability to become certified in the operation of a fork lift is required.
