Subject: Resolution authorizing execution of an amendment to extend continuing services agreement with Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation for professional surveying services.

Staff Recommendation:

Staff recommends adoption of the resolution authorizing the execution of contract amendment number two (2) with Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation.

Analysis:

The City has a competitively awarded contract which is due to expire with Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation for the firm to provide professional surveying services.

Amendment two (2) authorizes the agreement to continue for one (1) additional year on an as needed basis pursuant to the term and termination clause of the initial agreement as approved by resolution 8335.

Options:

1. Approve the attached resolution authorizing the execution of the contract amendment with

Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation, or

2. Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

Fiscal Impact:

The actual fiscal impact is unknown at this time. Actual expenditures will depend on hours billed for plan review, consulting, and other fee based services. Special projects will be estimated and detailed in separate task orders. The cost of the project based work will be charged to the specific project. As future projects are identified commission approval will be sought when the project cost warrants such approval. Any costs associated with developer related work will be recovered from the private party.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO EXTEND CONTINUING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHEASTERN SURVEYING AND MAPPING CORPORATION FOR FUTURE PROFESSIONAL SURVEYING SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

THAT the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to an existing agreement with SOUTHEASTERN SURVEYING AND MAPPING CORPORATION whose address is 6500 All American Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32810 for professional surveying services.

THAT this resolution shall become effective immediately.
