Subject:                      Resolution approving the Subdivision Plat of Palm Plaza

 

 


Staff Recommendation:

The Development Review Committee recommends approval of the proposed subdivision plat for Palm Plaza.  See attached copy of the Development Review Committee recommendations dated October 4th, 2012

 

Analysis:

The plat is situated in Section 22, Township 19 South, Range 24 East within the existing municipal boundary and generally located west of US Highway 27, south of the intersection of Citizens Blvd and US Highway 27.  The plat consists of three commercial lots and is being developed for commercial enterprises. The property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development) and the plat is consistent with the approved Conceptual Plan. The plat is also consistent with the existing General Commercial land use designation.

 

The proposed plat meets the requirements of the City of Leesburg Land Development Code and Florida Statutes.  The division of land is also consistent with the current zoning of PUD.

 

Options:

1.  Approve  the proposed plat; or

2.  Such alternative action as the Commission may deem appropriate

 

Fiscal Impact: 

There is no fiscal impact to the City.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY  OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A PLAT OF PALM PLAZA, A SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA, GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF US HIGHWAY 27, SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION OF CITIZENS BLVD AND US HIGHWAY 27, LYING IN SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 19 SOUTH, RANGE 24 EAST; AND ACCEPTING AND DEDICATING TO THE USE OF THE PUBLIC ANY EASEMENTS OR PUBLIC PLACES SHOWN THEREON AS BEING DEDICATED TO THE PUBLIC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LEESBURG, FLORIDA:

 

            THAT the plat of the following-describes land, which is named “Palm Plaza”, Is hereby approved and accepted by the City of Leesburg, Florida:

 

             THAT portion of Section 22, Township 19 South, Range 24 East, Lake County, Florida described as follows:
